A lot of people only know the Sonic Youth version of this song. And it is awesome but people who don’t know the Carpenters lives are just emptier than they should be. Her voice is truly haunting. A lot of comments are made about how touching and soulful her voice is and it’s true.

A lot of judgement surrounds her Anorexia Nervosa and it is devastating but isn’t necessarily a reflection on her music.
